Supreme Chocolate Saucepan Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 mL) butter or margarine
  • 2 cups (500 mL) sugar
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) HERSHEY'S Cocoa
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2/3 cup (150 mL) all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2 mL) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 mL) baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons (10 mL) vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (500 mL) CHIPITS Semi Sweet Baking Chips
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped

Preparation

  1. Heat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease 13x9-inch (33 x 23 cm) baking pan.
  2. Melt butter in medium saucepan over low heat. Add sugar and cocoa; stir to blend. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in eggs. Stir together flour, salt and baking soda; stir into chocolate mixture. Stir in vanilla, CHIPITS chocolate chips and nuts.
  4. Spread into prepared pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan and begin to crack slightly; do not underbake. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.
