Ingredients
- 2 lbs (1 kg) chicken wings, tips removed
- 2 Tbsp (30 mL) Canada Corn Starch
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) Mazola Corn Oil
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) Heinz Ketchup
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) corn syrup
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) soy sauce
- 1 tsp (5 mL) minced fresh ginger*
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 to 2 tsp (5 to 10 mL) crushed red pepper flakes
Prearation
- Cut wings in half at joint. In large bowl, toss chicken with corn starch.
- In large frypan heat corn oil over medium-high heat. Add wings & stir-fry until cooked & browned on all sides, about 10 to 15 min. Drain off excess fat.
- Combine ketchup, corn syrup, soy sauce, ginger, garlic & hot pepper flakes. Add to frypan & continue stir-frying until wings are well glazed.

*Or substitute 1/2 tsp (2 mL) ground dried ginger.
