Mashed Potatoes with Oka Cheese

Ingredients

  • 10 potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) cream 15% m.f.
  • To taste salt and pepper
  • A pinch ground nutmeg
  • 180 ml (3/4 cup) Oka cheese, rind removed and in small cubes

Directions

  1. Cook potatoes and garlic in boiling salted water until tender (about 6-7 minutes). Drain thoroughly. Return potatoes and garlic to saucepan and place over low heat.
  2. Mash potatoes and garlic with a potato masher or fork. Once mashed, gradually add cream, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  3. With a spatula, mix while adding Oka cheese. This purée goes well with both meat and fish
